Dan Albano’s Fab 5 outstanding girls basketball players last week, Dec. 8, 2025:

Sarah Aldeguer, Fairmont Prep, Sr., F

The Princeton-bound Aldeguer averaged 16.5 points and earned all-tournament honors as the Huskies placed fourth at the Troy Classic.

Kate Duarte, Rosary, Sr., F

Duarte tallied 30 points and eight rebounds in a 57-35 victory against Buena Park.

Elle Palmer, Santa Margarita, So., F

Palmer posted 20 points and 10 rebounds in a 51-48 victory in overtime against Villa Park in the finals of the Villa Park-Brea Olinda Winter Shootout. She also earned all-tournament honors.

Kayla Rice, JSerra, Jr., F

Rice averaged 15.5 points and 8.5 rebounds, and earned all-tournament honors, to help the Lions place second at the Troy Classic.

Delaney Shiring, El Dorado, Sr., G

Shiring averaged 18 points and seven rebounds at the San Marino tournament en route to reaching her 1,000th career point. She also earned all-tournament honors.
