A student was stabbed by another student during a fight near Savanna High School in Anaheim on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 2, Anaheim police said.

Officers responded around 2:40 p.m. to a reported assault in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Gilbert Street, Anaheim Police Department spokesman Sgt. Matt Sutter said. When they arrived, they found a boy suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The victim was able to speak with officers before being taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, Sutter said. While the ages of the suspect and victim were not released, both were confirmed to be minors.

Savanna High School was briefly placed on lockdown as a precaution, Sutter said.

No additional details were immediately released.
