The always popular Corn Festival is not only gathering community members this weekend for some hometown fun, this year it is also celebrating the city’s 100th anniversary.

The three-day event organized by the La Habra Host Lions Club kicked off Friday evening with concerts and the carnival at Portola Park.

On Saturday morning, the annual parade marched down La Habra Boulevard, delivering folks to the park where there is another day of concerts and fun into the night, including corn and pie eating contests.

There are performances and concerts all afternoon Sunday, too.

The carnival runs all weekend, there is also a shopping area and food booths serving up lots of treats, including thousands of ears of corn.
