Tustin’s football team has added a victory to its season total after Long Beach Poly forfeited a 28-27 win against the Tillers on Sept. 5.

Long Beach Poly forfeited the nonleague game because it played with an ineligible player, a spokesperson for the Long Beach Unified School District confirmed Wednesday.

The Jackrabbits rallied from a 21-0 deficit to edge Tustin at Veterans Stadium.

Tustin’s overall record moves to 6-1 entering its game against visiting El Modena (4-3, 2-0) in the Delta League on Friday.

The Tillers are 2-0 in league and tied with El Modena and Capistrano Valley (6-1, 2-0) atop the Delta League standings.

Long Beach Poly’s overall record falls to 3-4.
