The body of a woman found off a highway in Crestline in the San Bernardino Mountains has been identified as 58-year-old Aryan Papoli from Newport Beach, authorities announced on Monday, Dec. 1.
Her body was found roughly 75 feet down a steep mountain embankment near Highway 138 and Crestline Road at around 11:42 a.m. on Nov. 18, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. An autopsy was conducted Nov. 18 and injuries consistent with a fall were noted, the Sheriff’s Department has said.
Papoli was reported missing on Nov. 22, according to Steven Oberon, a spokesperson for the Newport Beach Police Department.
The death investigation is continuing, the Sheriff’s Department said in a written statement.
