Two 15-year-old boys were stabbed and one was robbed at the Westfield Topanga Mall on Thursday afternoon.

The robbery occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the mall on the 6600 block of Topanga Canyon in Woodland Hills, the Los Angeles Police Department said. The 15-year-olds were approached by two other male teens, who commented on a gold chain worn by one of the victims and grabbed it.

The second victim and other friends tried to intervene, but the teen attackers brought out a knife, according to police.

The robbers snatched the gold chain and fled on foot northbound on Owensmouth Avenue, police said. Both attackers were 16 to 18 years old, police said.

An ambulance was called for one teen, whose injury police described as a laceration to the armpit. He was treated at a hospital and released. The other boy was treated at the scene for a minor cut on the back of his head, police said.

The attackers remain at large, authorities said Friday.
