Drew Kelley

Drew A. Kelley is a staff photographer at the Long Beach Press-Telegram. Drew has been a photojournalist in Southern California for more than fifteen years covering an array of assignments including wildfires, concerts, surfing and protests. He studied visual journalism under the renowned photojournalist Anacleto Rapping at the Brooks Institute of Photography where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors. His passion for storytelling has taken him to the backyards of Los Angeles to document the local punk scene, NYC's Lincoln Center to document aspiring ballet dancers and the US/Mexico border to document the plight of migrants. When he isn't behind the camera you can find him at the nearest ramen restaurant, listening to records at home or exploring national parks with his dog Shiloh.
