Listening Learning Language
Founded by parents of deaf students who wanted an educational alternative to sign language, Oralingua School is dedicated to the belief that children who are hearing impaired can learn to listen, talk, pursue a high academic level and fully participate in a “hearing” world. Located in Whittier, California since 1969, Oralingua is an auditory-oral day school for children ages infancy to 10 years. We are a Non-Public School certified by the State of California and operate as a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization.
To immerse children who are deaf or hard of hearing in a language-rich environment that promotes listening skills, spoken language, problem solving and social interaction that will enable them to function effectively in society while supporting their families who share those goals.
