STAFF SPOTLIGHT
Linda Jaye Dinow
Oralingua is proud to highlight educational audiologist and parent-infant therapist, Linda Jaye Dinow. Linda has worked her magic with our youngest students for many years. Hired in 1970 as a teacher of the deaf, Linda found her niche with newly-diagnosed babies in 1971 when she became Oralingua's parent-infant therapist. Her passion and enthusiasm is only matched by the wonder in a baby's eyes as he hears his mom's voice for the first time.

This simple event is an experience of a lifetime for parents who are just beginning to cope with their child's hearing loss. As a baby starts to babble and play with his voice, he begins to understand that language has meaning and it's powerful! As he grows, the toddler will use language to get his needs met, express his emotions and enter into conversations with family and friends.
Linda has shared her experiences, her innate abilities and talent with teachers, speech and language pathologists, health professionals and an infinite group of parents who can still remember the words to her "Dance a Jingle" song after 40 years! She has presented at conferences including the American Academy of Audiology, the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the American Speech and Hearing Association.
The staff of Oralingua salutes Linda Dinow for laying a strong foundation for students who listen and talk. Her commitment to excellence makes Oralingua School a magical place where students love to listen, learn and talk!
