YOU CAN HELP ORALINGUA SCHOOL…
Oralingua School is a private, non-profit, fully accredited special education elementary school. Our operating revenue is generated from tuition, special event fundraisers and individual and corporate contributions. We do not receive any Federal or State funding. There are many ways you can help us continue to educate hearing impaired children.

There are several other ways in which you can help support Oralingua. You can sign up with United Way and participate in their automatic payroll deduction program. By designating Oralingua School as your beneficiary, all the money you donate will go directly to the school. Our I.D. number is 53389.
We also host several fundraisers during the year. Our largest event is the Gala which is held in the Fall of each year. An honoree is selected as “Man or Woman of the Year” for their community service. You can participate by attending, donating auction items and by advertising in our journal.
If you are a shopper at Target stores, use your Target Guest Card (credit card) and 1% of all your purchases will be donated to the school! There is no sign up fee or minimum. When filling out your application, please note Oralingua School as your beneficiary. If you already have a Target card, just call their 800-number to register Oralingua as your beneficiary. Simple. Then all you have to do is use your card and that’s it!
Cash, stock, endowment, trust donations are always welcome. Please send your checks directly to the school address. Please consider us as a beneficiary as well. You can really make a difference in the lives of deaf children!
Our Scrip Program is another way you can help us. Scrip is the same as a gift certificate. Merchants will donate a portion of the scrip purchased for use at a merchant organization directly to the school. The scrip is dollar for dollar so it is just like cash! For example, 15% of a $25 ARCO gas card is contributed back to the school, 4% of Ralph’s Grocery Stores gift certificates is donated back, etc. Please call Oralingua School to receive a Scrip Order form. You have to go shopping anyway, why not have these merchants participating in our program donate a little something too.
Because the school’s attendance has tripled in the past year, we are searching for a new campus to meet the demands of our rising enrollment and the community’s focus on oral deaf education. The majority of the students are between 6 months and 3 years of age, therefore, we are seeking a site to accommodate the Pre-School expansion. If you should have suggestions or know of any possible sites, please e-mail us with the information. We are also seeking the seed money to launch this endeavor. If you would like to help Oralingua acquire/build a new school, please feel free to send your contribution directly to the school.
